- 1. Create a document titled Chapter 2 Competition and describe two situations that competition has been beneficial to you - add images to enhance your description. You can use examples of being a consumer or selling.
2. In the same document complete #26 on page 34. To do this create a table with 5 columns and 4-5 rows. Label your five areas of services or goods and then use a row to name the businesses from the area in order of least to most. After completing this activity for Verdigre do the same for Norfolk or another larger town/city. Compare them and include your opinion about which location is better for a consumer and the businesses. Make sure your document is in your Intro folder so I can view it.

- Create an 8-10 slide presentation on the profession of your choice that has a published code of ethics such as journalism, IEEE, physicians, lawers, law enforcement, etc. Be sure to copy and paste your sources to the ending slide. Include pictures or video of your choice to enhance your presentation. We will present these to the class. Name your presentation based on the profession you choose.

Go to SBA.gov and check out the resources available for people wanting to start a business. Create an account and use the template to create a plan for a business of your choice. Use the website and internet to complete your plan. Don't forget a logo! Upload your finished plan as a PDF to your Drive into your assignments folder. Logogarden.com etc can also work. - Use Google Advance Search and choose Usage: Free to share, share or modify or search these links and find an image to add your company name to it using Pixlr

- Aptitude Assessment - Complete this assessment and summarize your results in a document. Title the document Chapter 20 Aptitude Assessment. What did you learn about yourself? Were the results surprising to you? Do you feel this type of test is helpful in determining what kind of career best fits you? Why or why not.
- Create a personal resume and cover letter for a job that interests you. Look on www.omaha.com or monster.com. Use the information from the ad to write your letter. Check the examples in your book on pages 373,375. If the job you are applying for does not have a person's name to send your information to use Dear Sir or Madam in your letter. Your resume can not be longer than one page.
